Version 1.0 | Effective: May 2026 | voidcraft.gg/policy
Void Craft believes in the free market of ideas. Challenging, transgressive, and boundary-pushing art has always been the leading edge of culture. We exist to give that work a home.
The line we draw is not between comfortable and uncomfortable. It is between art and exploitation — between speech and targeting, between fiction and weaponization, between creative work that happens to be dark and darkness that serves no purpose except harm.
Creators on Void Craft are responsible for their content and the communities they build. Void Craft provides the platform. We do not endorse, curate, or validate individual creators' work. Patrons choose freely what they support. Communities decide what thrives.
Void Craft provides content ratings as information. What content is appropriate for a household is a decision for the adults in that household, not for this platform.
Void Craft uses a four-tier rating system. Creators self-rate their projects using the definitions below. Accurate rating is a creator responsibility — misrating content may result in forced reclassification or account review.
Suitable for all audiences. No content that would concern a reasonable parent of young children. Violence, if present, is minimal and consequence-free. No sexual content. No strong language.
*Visible by default to all users.*
Mild to moderate violence, strong language, and mature themes handled with restraint. Romance without explicit content. Horror that relies on atmosphere rather than graphic depiction. Content broadly consistent with what a teenager encounters in mainstream media.
*Visible by default to all users.*
Strong violence, graphic horror, heavy language, dark and disturbing themes, morally complex content. Sexual content is non-explicit. Substance use depicted without glorification as the primary purpose.
*Visible by default to all users.*
Explicit sexual content. Extreme graphic violence beyond the threshold of mature genre convention. Content intended for adults and appropriately so.
*Not visible by default. Users opt in via account settings. One toggle. No additional gate unless required by applicable law at the time of access.*
Creators applying any rating must also select applicable content descriptors. These appear on project pages and in search results:
Violence: Cartoon Violence / Mild Violence / Graphic Violence / Extreme Violence
Sexual: Suggestive Themes / Partial Nudity / Nudity / Sexual Content / Explicit Sexual Content
Language: Mild Language / Strong Language / Crude Humor
Themes: Horror / Dark Themes / Drug Reference / Mature Themes / Disturbing Content
Descriptors are informational. They do not restrict access beyond what the rating tier determines.
Void Craft account settings allow a maximum visible rating to be configured. Setting an account to VC-M maximum will suppress VC-A content from browse and search for that account.
Void Craft does not monitor, enforce, or take responsibility for how individual households manage account access. The tools are provided. Their use is a household decision.
Any sexual content depicting minors is absolutely prohibited and will result in immediate account termination, content removal, and reporting to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
Legal basis: 18 U.S.C. § 2256; PROTECT Act of 2003.
No exceptions. No appeals.
Content that meets all three prongs of the Supreme Court's Miller test is prohibited:
All three prongs must be met simultaneously. Work with genuine artistic, literary, political, or scientific merit — however dark, explicit, or transgressive — is not obscene under this standard and is permitted on Void Craft.
Legal basis: *Miller v. California*, 413 U.S. 15 (1973); 18 U.S.C. §§ 1460–1470.
Content that constitutes a credible, specific threat of violence against an identifiable real person is prohibited.
Legal basis: *Virginia v. Black*, 538 U.S. 343 (2003); *Counterman v. Colorado*, 600 U.S. 66 (2023).
Content that solicits another person to commit a specific federal crime — including murder-for-hire, terrorism, or trafficking — is prohibited.
Legal basis: 18 U.S.C. § 373.
Creators may not solicit patron funding for projects with no genuine intent to deliver. Misrepresentation of project scope, progress, or deliverables for the purpose of extracting patron funds constitutes fraud and will result in account termination and patron notification.
Legal basis: Common law fraud; wire fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 1343.
Content whose primary and evident purpose is to dox, stalk, or coordinate real-world harm against a specific private individual is prohibited.
This is a narrow prohibition. It does not apply to:
It applies only to content that functions as a tool for targeting a specific private person's safety — for example, content designed to aggregate a real person's home address, daily routine, or personal data for the purpose of enabling harm.
Void Craft explicitly permits the following as protected expression under the First Amendment and established legal precedent:
Void Craft is infrastructure. We do not endorse the content hosted on this platform. The presence of content on Void Craft does not constitute Void Craft's approval, promotion, or agreement with that content.
We are a platform. Creators speak. We carry the signal.
Where federal, state, or international law imposes specific requirements on platform operators regarding content access, age verification, or content moderation, Void Craft will comply with those requirements at the time they take legal effect and are enforceable. Void Craft does not preemptively impose restrictions in anticipation of laws that have not taken effect or are subject to active legal challenge.
Violations of the prohibited categories above will result in:
1. Immediate content removal
2. Account suspension pending review
3. For CSAM: immediate permanent termination and law enforcement reporting
Reporting: Report potential violations to policy@voidcraft.gg. All reports reviewed by a human. No automated content removal.
Appeals: Account actions may be appealed at appeals@voidcraft.gg within 30 days. We will respond within 14 business days.
